pediatric chiropractic
I’m often asked, “Can you adjust my children too?”
The answer is yes.
As a Kids Chiropractor in Elwood with extensive postgraduate training in paediatric and pregnancy chiropractic care, I provide gentle, age-appropriate chiropractic care for newborns, babies, toddlers, and school-aged children across Elwood, St Kilda, Bayside, Brighton, and Melbourne.
I am a proud member of the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association (ICPA) and take a safe, evidence-informed, and individualised approach to paediatric chiropractic. Care is tailored to each child’s stage of development, movement patterns, and nervous system needs, addressing a wide range of biomechanical and movement-related concerns, as well as everyday aches and pains.
Paediatric chiropractic techniques are very gentle and specifically adapted for growing bodies, using low-force and hands-on approaches to ensure your child feels comfortable, calm, and supported throughout their care.

Common paediatric presentations I support include:
Feeding difficulties and oral tension in newborns
Torticollis (head tilt or preference to one side)
Plagiocephaly and head shape concerns
Delayed or asymmetrical motor development
Delayed crawling or walking
Postural concerns as children grow
Growing pains and musculoskeletal aches
Falls, bumps, and sporting injuries
Coordination and movement challenges
Headaches and migraines
Spinal and joint restrictions affecting movement and comfort
Infants
I am often asked, “Why would a baby need to see a chiropractor?” Parents commonly seek chiropractic care for their babies to address concerns such as plagiocephaly (flat head), difficulty turning their head to one or both sides, asymmetrical feeding, hip dysfunction or dysplasia, and discomfort during tummy time, among other developmental or biomechanical issues.
Pre-School
Care for children and infants includes a thorough evaluation encompassing a spinal and postural assessment, neurological examination, assessment of primitive and postural reflexes, movement analysis, and evaluation of muscular function.
School-aged kids and teenagers
Chiropractic care for children is gentle, tailored, and age-appropriate, supporting newborns through to high-school-aged kids. As a chiropractor with postgraduate training in both pregnancy and pediatrics, I address a variety of biomechanical and movement concerns, as well as aches and pains, using techniques specifically designed for children.
I avoid manual adjustments or "cracking" for children, instead utilizing gentle methods like the activator, often referred to as the “clicker.” Many of my young patients enjoy the clicker, and I’m frequently delighted to hear about them using toy versions to “adjust” their family members at home, inspired by their own chiropractic experience.
